The IP Office IP500 Voice Compression Module VCM64 provides up to 64 voice compression channels for use with IP Phones, VoIP calls, SIP trunks and IP-based voice networking.
For IP500V2 Release 6.0:
- All 64 Channels are activated
- All IP Phones (Avaya & SIP) require licenses
- Card comes with 12 Avaya IP Phone licenses
- Supports CO card or T1/PRI card as daughter card
- IP500V2 supports a maximum of 148 VCM Channels, including Combo Cards
For IP500 Release 4 & Release 5:
- 4 VCM Channels enabled
- Additional channels enabled by licenses
- Can be fitted with IP Office IP500 Daughter Trunk Card (CO or T1/PRI)
- Maximum of 2 VCM cards per IP500 Control Unit
- No more than 128 VCM Channels per Control Unit
When upgrading to Release 6.0:
- When upgrading an IP500 to R6.0 each active VCM Channel on the VCM(s) will be automatically converted into 3 Avaya IP Endpoint licenses
